Copper And Aluminum Wire

Wire is the final product of the wiredrawing process and is used for a wide range of uses such as mechanical applications (fasteners, screws, rivets, meshes, ropes etc.), electrical applications (electrical conductors, resistors, screening for cables, pins, coils for magnetic circuits etc.), heating applications, welding applications, food industry, textile applications, instrumentation, musical instruments, etc.
Copper, copper alloys, aluminium and aluminium alloys wires are drawn from rod to final diameter using rod breakdown lines and drawing lines (single or multi-wire). Depending on the material, on its use and final diameter, one or more intermediate anneals are necessary to counter the effects of cold deformation. After drawing, the conductor has a high mechanical strength, low elongation and reduced electrical conductivity compared to the initial state. For increased ductility and electrical conductivity, a final anneal is done.

The conductor could be plain or electroplated, depending on the application. Over the last few years, there has been a higher demand for this type of wire, along with the increase of the number of wires having a smaller outlet diameter. The common electroplating materials are tin, silver and nickel in a single or multiple layer coating. A successful wiredrawing process starts from an accurate plating process.

Being in the wire and cable sector since decades, we provide you with consolidated, flexible and high quality solutions to overcome market challenges. HOOHA Multiwire Line Platform include lines for flexible and mass production, suitable for copper, aluminium and relevant alloys, for plain and electroplated conductors. Multimotor technology with slip recovery is the common feature of the Multiwire Line Platform and ensures energy saving and high surface quality. The platform is completed by a wide range of single and multimotor annealers and static and dynamic spooling systems.
